The Waterford Fair

This is the 79th annual Waterford Fair, and the FIRST time that I've been able to volunteer for the historic home tours! The home I was in was built in the late 1700s!

There is so much to do at the Fair, and it's a great family event. If you get the chance definitely put it on your calendar! Food, beverages, musicians, magicians, and tons of local artists and craftsmen, including demonstrations of wood and metal working! Below is the guide for this years fair.

Wandering around the Fair, you'll find so many old homes to tour through. I was in the Walker Philip house, and it's just one of fourteen homes to tour! People still live in these homes, and very rarely they come on the market. If you live here and are thinking of selling, I'd love to work with you and apply all my knowledge of the area to help maximize your home sale!

And as you stroll around the Village, you'll find tons of food and drink vendors. You'll find food trucks like Bomburger, Ford's Fish Shack and others. But, you'll also find non food trucks like the Elementary School selling apple cider, or the boy scouts selling coffee and cookies! And since this is about exploring the "past", you'll find places selling locally sourced jerky and other "historical" foods!

And there are a ton of vendors here. An entire barn is dedicated to art, and you'll find local artisans demonstrating their wares and crafting them right on the spot! Craft made soaps and oils... metal forges creating custom metal works right in front of you... wood working of all varieties from tables to the spoons that rest on them... and so much more!

And you'll also find a ton of other activities here, like musicians, magicians, and so much more! The fair spans Friday to Sunday, but I will tell you that if you want to avoid the crowds, Friday is your best bet! But, be sure to check out the schedule for the musicians and other performers, since that might influence when you want to be there also!
